Numinous is a solo performance exploring the life and thinking of Henry Morris, the visionary behind Village Colleges, who believed in “education from the cradle to the grave”.
Cambridgeshire County Council appointed Henry as Chief Education Officer in 1922. Henry’s life was devoted to creating educational institutions where art, literature, music, recreation, festivals, local government, and politics could fourish. He built remarkable schools, helped shape the development of community education, and inspired other educationists around the world.
Developed with graduates of the esteemed Curious School of Puppetry, the show is performed by and with objects from Morris’ time.
