Fusion

Fusion

‘Fusion’ is an exhibition from the Isle of Ely Art Society, a friendly and growing group of local artists. In this non-selective exhibition, they bring together a range of diverse and distinctive art works to produce a lively whole, reflecting the varied interests and talents of their members.

The group was originally formed before WWII, and was re-established in 1967, continually welcoming artists ever since. At the first general meeting in 1967, a member of the society outlined the activities of the organisation, which included an annual exhibition. Nowadays, the society has over 50 members.

Members of the group varied backgrounds, interests and art styles and work in a range of media. While some are professional artists, others are dedicated amateurs and art enthusiasts. The group enjoys monthly demonstrations from other artists, quarterly meetings to share in art activities, and their annual exhibition. Earlier this year they participated in Ely Arts Festival, organising a stall during the Family Fun Day and holding a pop-up exhibition.

'Fusion' is open at Babylon Gallery from Wednesday 6th November until Sunday 1st December 2024.

The gallery is open to the public 11am - 4pm Wednesday - Sunday.
