Due to the success of the first Winter Open in January, Babylon is committed to providing this opportunity for local artists to participate in the exhibition and to sell their work. The December slot on this occasion will be used to promote the purchase of artworks as Christmas presents in order to maximise sales for the artists with the added benefit of the commission earned that helps Babylon to continue to thrive.
Babylon Gallery is open Tuesday to Friday, 12pm to 4pm, and Saturday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm for the course of the exhibition.

Entry / eligibility
Entered works must be 2D, framed and ready to hang with either cord or mirror plates. In the case of canvases, these may be unframed if this is the artist's preference/intention. Pictures must not exceed 160cms when measured around all 4 sides including the frame. Babylon encourages artists to keep the prices affordable, for example, between £60 and £150, as the commission rate is being kept very low. All works must be for sale and will be sold ‘off the wall’ with a large red dot indicating a sale. Artists will be advised of works sold and will be encouraged to bring in another work of a similar size as a replacement, free of charge.
There is no selection procedure. However, we reserve the right to return any work that is unsuitable for any reason - this includes, but is not limited to: items containing offensive content or poor quality of finish (ie. not in a saleable condition)
Artists must be 18+. Delivery and collection costs borne by the artists.
Fees and selling
£5 + VAT entry fee per work (£6 total). Up to 4 works per artist. Non-refundable, unless your work is rejected by the hanging team for the reasons above.
Items that sell attract a flat rate commission of £10 + VAT. (£12 total deduction)
Customers will be asked to buy directly off-the-walls on the day of purchase to minimise admin and encourage sales from visitors to the area.
