Linda McCord has been appointed as our new Chairperson of Babylon ARTS Board of Trustees. You can read more about her here.
Linda said "I am delighted that Babylon ARTS’ board of trustees, has invited me to become its’ Chairperson.
My first job in the role was to drink beer and collect a cheque from Ely CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) at the Prince Albert on Saturday 14 March, that of course was a lot of fun and of huge benefit to our cinema.
The second, on Tuesday 17 March rather less joyful, as along with the board of trustees and Chief Executive, Claire Somerville, we had to announce the temporary closure of the cinema and gallery, due to the current Covid-19 situation.
However, as an organisation we are still very much open for business, as we put on our creative thinking caps to keep offering people access to the arts through this temporary change in all of our lives.
