Artist, Clare Barry has produced a beautiful window exhibition to celebrate the Boat Race coming to Ely
To celebrate The Oxford & Cambridge Boat Race coming back to Ely, we commissioned artist Clare Barry, to design three new window displays for the Babylon Gallery depiciting The Boat Race, past and present.
The display is created using card and coloured tissue paper and is illumated from the inside in the evenings, for people to enjoy on their socially distanced walks along the riverside.
Clare Barry, who produces a range of products featuring her designs, under the name Sea Teasel, is one of the artists featured in the Babylon Gallery's gift shop. Clare also created the wonderful 'Alphabet of Ely' over the November lockdown, which brought a lot of pleasure to passersby.
The display will be in place until at least the end of April, whilst we prepare to re-open the Babylon Gallery on Monday 17th May.
