Chief Executive Officer - Full time, £42k per annum
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and enterprising individual to lead Babylon Arts as it continues to grow as the creative hub of the fens. Babylon Arts has established a strong reputation for developing creativity and connecting communities with arts and culture. Operating from our micro-arts centre in Ely, the Babylon Gallery hosts exhibitions from a diverse range of artists, operates Ely Cinema and delivers many live events across the region.
We are seeking a Chief Executive to provide leadership and management of our staff, strategic priorities and finance across all our activities. Our new Chief Executive will lead the organisation on the next stage of its development. We want to find someone who shares our commitment to providing high quality, relevant cultural experiences to our community and to working in inclusive, generous, responsible and creative ways to deliver our ambitious plans.
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate strong leadership qualities with the ability to deliver business and financial planning, lead on fundraising and oversee implementation of a multi-arts, community led organisation. An understanding of the local arts environment would be ideal but not essential.

Marketing & Communications Officer, 0.6 FTE. £24,720 pro-rata per annum
We're looking for a part-time marketing professional to play a pivotal part in championing our work. We have a diverse range of events and programmes including a year-round exhibition programme at the Babylon Gallery, our independent cinema, a cultural education programme and community-based creative events and activities.
The Marketing & Communications Officer plays a crucial role in shaping and supporting how we communicate the huge variety of work that we do. This will include promoting events and activities with the aim of selling tickets, to developing the ways we share the stories and impact of the work we do through our projects.
It’s our aim to increase the visibility of the work we do and the number of people we’re reaching and your work will form an essential part of how we achieve this.
The Marketing & Communications Officer will draw upon their knowledge to develop and implement marketing plans for our work as the primary arts development organisation in the area. You will use your skills and experience to deliver the plans, with input from the rest of the team.

We're looking for casual staff to join our team!
We're looking to expand our pool of casual staff who work in the Babylon Gallery and in the Babylon Cinema at The Maltings. These roles are great for people local to Ely, who are flexible, pro-active and confident and who want to provide great customer service in a small, busy arts organisation!
