Metal is an arts organisation with bases in Peterborough, Southend on Sea and Liverpool.
From these bases, we work to provide the catalyst that can transform the potential of people and places through great art and inspiring ideas.

We provide networking, training, residency space for artists at all career levels and from all artistic disciplines. We create large- scale, participatory projects that respond to our immediate environment and involve people of all ages and from all walks of life. We also have strong working relationships with a wide range of other arts organisations, community groups, schools and HE and FE institutions.

Due to Covid-19 Metal is aware that some students are looking to defer their degree studies until next year. As part of Metal New Artist Network, we are looking to create an online programme to help you keep their creative practice active and help them feel connected. This is a programme for those studying all art forms. Below is a link where students can register their interest, help inform the programme and ensure we can contact them with details once the programme is running. We aim to kick start the programme in October 2020.

Register your interest here.

The programme is free and is developed in partnership with Festival Bridge, Royal Opera House Bridge, Curious Minds and Arts Council England.
