Workshop / Talk at School
The Whipple Museum of the History of Science holds an outstanding collection of scientific instruments and models relating to astronomy, navigation, surveying, calculating, medicine and much more.
Our schools programme offers a wide range of engaging cross-curricular sessions that cater to all levels and ages. We aim to enrich classroom learning by offering tailored workshops and hands-on activities that will encourage learning and spark student's imagination. We can also offer outreach sessions using our handling collection.
If you're local, the following sessions can be taught as outreach in schools and, out of University term time, can be taught in the Whipple Library.
The Whipple Museum of the History of Science offers a range of workshops, including:
KS1 Inventions and discoveries
KS2 Inventions and discoveries, Science of musical sound
KS3 Art and Science of looking, What is colour
KS4 Microscopy, Medicine and Anatomy through time
A level/post 16 Darwin, Evolution and the Origin of Species.
A maximum number of 35 students can take up this opportunity.
