The University of Cambridge Museums is a consortium of the eight University Museums and the Cambridge University Botanic Garden.
Together, we represent the UK’s highest concentration of internationally important collections outside London. With more than five million works of art, artefacts, and specimens, the collections span four and a half billion years.
Our collections are:
- Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology
- Cambridge University Botanic Garden
- Museum of Classical Archaeology
- The Fitzwilliam Museum
- Kettle's Yard
- The Polar Museum
- Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences
- Whipple Museum of the History of Science
- Museum of Zoology
The extraordinary collections contained within our Museums and Garden can be used to bring all curricular areas to life and inspire learning.

The University of Cambridge Museums have a range of resources and activities on hand for self-led visits, and additional handling objects available to borrow for use within the classroom.
Museum visits are a great way to support and inspire your students working towards their Arts Award and our Museums are also keen to support schools on their Artsmark journeys.
