Babylon ARTS are the lead consortium partner for MarketPlace a project which has people at its heart and is about more people making, experiencing and enjoying creativity in Fenland and Forest Heath (now part of West Suffolk).
MarketPlace, is part of a national Arts Council England programme, Creative People and Places.
Working with local communities in the seven market towns of Brandon, Chatteris, March, Mildenhall, Newmarket, Whittlesey and Wisbech since 2015, Market Place has put local people at the centre of what we do!
In 2019, the second phase of the project began and there are lots of ways to get involved, from attending events near you to getting involved in one of our creative forums where you help to shape events and activities for your town.
MarketPlace will be offering support for creative practitioners in Fenland and Forest Heath, encouraging local people to get involved, sharing decisions about what creative activities can happen where they live, sometimes in unexpected places!
Explore the MarketPlace Website and social media pages on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to see what we’re getting up to and find out about all the creative things going on across Fenland and Forest Heath.
